Sobre brincadeiras de infância
(About childhood play)
Galeria do Sol, Porto, Portugal solo exhibition, 2024

This project it’s a reflexion on what it means to feel like a child in adult life. It stems from an artistic investigation into childhood play, the impulse to play, and the ways in which playfulness can be reclaimed in adulthood. Through a series of interviews exploring personal games and their social impact, the project foregrounds the value of play as a meaningful and transformative gesture, both in childhood and beyond.
Drawing on the concept of the playscape and a study of playgrounds in urban environments, the exhibition seeks to recreate a street-like atmosphere within the gallery space — inviting viewers to engage with play not as nostalgia, but as a living, collective experience.
This project was supported by the Flechada program of FLAD - Luso-American Development Foundation.
